Stockings for the Troops

 

STEP ONE:  Make or buy a stocking (MAX 18 “)

STEP TWO: Fill it with ONLY these items:

   

Individually wrapped Twizzlers

Hard candy - must be placed in a zip lock baggie 
(no chocolate)

hand & foot warmers (small packets)

Chap stick and dental floss

tooth brush and small tooth paste

hot chocolate and oatmeal packets

Snack and food bars (granola, protein, cereal, nut, crackers)

individually wrapped cookies (no homemade cookies)

Ramen soup packets & Small Slim Jims

Individual drink mixes for water bottles

Small packets of trail mix, nuts, pretzels, fruit or other snacks

Deck of cards or small card game

Christmas card (home-made or bought ) with a personal message from you

STEP THREE: Close completely, tie, velcro, staple...it must be sealed. 

STEP FOUR:
Drop off locations available for our local MFM groups:
Bellwood Antis Public Library, Main Street in Bellwood
Mac's Meat Market, Columbia Street in Tyrone
DeGol Organization, 3229 East Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona  

All others, please email tracie@militaryfamiliesministry.com with the number of stockings you have collected and we will provide you with an address to ship directly to the troops.  

 Groups: you must collect your own funds for shipping the stockings

We also need  monetary donations to cover shipping costs – we estimate $3.00 per  stocking to ship. Do NOT put money for shipping inside the stockings, place it in an envelope.

Stockings must be received by November 29th to ensure Christmas delivery to our troops.
